« I do not paint what I see, but what I have seen. » – Edvard Munch
Since 2013, I have been self-learning how to master watercolour. My paintings try to capture and translate my vision of the scene lifting interrogations and offering a new point of reflexion about my living region. During my work, I free my mind by listening to the environment and embracing the mood and atmosphere around me. This state helps to trig spontaneous gestures guiding my brush to capture emotions. Day after day, this seeking process pushes me outside my studio painting pleinair to enable this unique feeling of freedom.
In front of these pictorial windows, eternal guardians of an inaccessible knowledge, I ask myself this question: Who are we ? My approach seeks to perpetuate the craftsmanship of the ancients and to highlight our natural and cultural heritage. To convey an emotional message that, in turn, invites viewers to travel for a moment through their memories to complete the work.
